The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.

But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.

And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the City of David, that Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass,[ as] the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said,“ How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half- naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”David said to Michal,“ It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel— I will celebrate before the Lord.I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.

In those days, when your numbers have increased greatly in the land,” declares the Lord,“ people will no longer say,‘ The ark of the covenant of the Lord.’ It will never enter their minds or be remembered; it will not be missed, nor will another one be made.

which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.

“ Good,” said David.“ I will make an agreement with you. But I demand one thing of you: Do not come into my presence unless you bring Michal daughter of Saul when you come to see me.”Then David sent messengers to Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, demanding,“ Give me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself for the price of a hundred Philistine foreskins.”

Saul sent men to David’s house to watch it and to kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, warned him,“ If you don’t run for your life tonight, tomorrow you’ll be killed.”So Michal let David down through a window, and he fled and escaped.Then Michal took an idol and laid it on the bed, covering it with a garment and putting some goats’ hair at the head.When Saul sent the men to capture David, Michal said,“ He is ill.”Then Saul sent the men back to see David and told them,“ Bring him up to me in his bed so that I may kill him.”But when the men entered, there was the idol in the bed, and at the head was some goats’ hair.Saul said to Michal,“ Why did you deceive me like this and send my enemy away so that he escaped?” Michal told him,“ He said to me,‘ Let me get away. Why should I kill you?’”

But Saul had given his daughter Michal, David’s wife, to Paltiel son of Laish, who was from Gallim.

And the Israelites inquired of the Lord.( In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there,

So they set out from the mountain of the Lord and traveled for three days. The ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them during those three days to find them a place to rest.

Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.

From them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honor, and they will not be disdained.

tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

David took his men with him and went out and killed two hundred Philistines and brought back their foreskins. They counted out the full number to the king so that David might become the king’s son- in- law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.When Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David,

praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe,

“ Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.

a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,

For I endure scorn for your sake, and shame covers my face.I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother’s children;for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.

When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”

Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.

If we are“ out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying,“ Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; his love endures forever.” For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord.

Some, however, made fun of them and said,“ They have had too much wine.”

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,

After David was settled in his palace, he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under a tent.”
