利未支派的子孫照著耶和華的話，就是摩西所吩咐的，用肩和槓來抬神的約櫃。

你要鑄造四個金環，安放在櫃的四腳上，兩個環在這邊，兩個環在那邊。你要用皂莢木做幾根櫃槓，並要用金包裹起來。你要把櫃槓穿在櫃旁的環中，以便用槓抬櫃。櫃槓要常留在櫃的環中，不可抽出環外。

這些槓很長，在內殿前的聖所可以看見槓頭，在殿外卻看不見；直到今日，這些槓還在那裡。

起營出發的時候，亞倫和他的兒子要進去，把遮蓋至聖所的幔子卸下來，用來遮蓋約櫃；又把海狗皮罩蓋在上面，再鋪上純藍色的布，然後把槓穿上。

摩西拿了法版，放在櫃裡，把槓穿在櫃的兩旁，把施恩座安放在約櫃上面。
