It was because you, the Levites, did not bring it up the first time that the Lord our God broke out in anger against us. We did not inquire of him about how to do it in the prescribed way.”

Remember when the anger of the Lord our God broke out against us? That’s because it wasn’t you Levites who tried to carry up the ark the first time. We didn’t ask the Lord how to do it in the way the law requires.”

Because you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.”

Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the Lord our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly.”

For the LORD our God burst out in anger against us because you Levites were not with us the first time, for we didn’t inquire of him about the proper procedures.”

Because you did not carry it at the first, the Lord our God made an outburst against us, since we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.”

For because ye bare it not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not according to the ordinance.

For the Lord our God burst out in anger against us because you Levites were not with us the first time, for we didn’t inquire of Him about the proper procedures.”

The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”

For because you didn’t carry it at first, Yahweh our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”

So they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.

He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

So they carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.And when they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.And David became angry because of the LORD’s outbreak against Uzza; therefore that place is called Perez Uzza to this day.

And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is set to go, then the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them; but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die.“ These are the things in the tabernacle of meeting which the sons of Kohath are to carry.

For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves; therefore the Levites had charge of the slaughter of the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to the Lord.For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying,“ May the good Lord provide atonement for everyonewho prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.”And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
