It was because you, the Levites, did not bring it up the first time that the Lord our God broke out in anger against us. We did not inquire of him about how to do it in the prescribed way.”

Remember when the anger of the Lord our God broke out against us? That’s because it wasn’t you Levites who tried to carry up the ark the first time. We didn’t ask the Lord how to do it in the way the law requires.”

Because you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.”

Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the Lord our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly.”

For the LORD our God burst out in anger against us because you Levites were not with us the first time, for we didn’t inquire of him about the proper procedures.”

Because you did not carry it at the first, the Lord our God made an outburst against us, since we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.”

For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.”

For because ye bare it not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not according to the ordinance.

The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”

For because you didn’t carry it at first, Yahweh our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”

他們把上帝的約櫃從座落在山上的亞比拿達家抬出來，放在一輛新造的牛車上，由亞比拿達的兩個兒子烏撒和亞希約趕車，

但無論做什麼事，都要按規矩，有次序。

我讚賞你們，因為你們凡事都想到我，並堅守我傳給你們的各種教導。

耶和華上帝就向烏撒發怒，因他的不敬而擊殺了他。他死在了約櫃旁邊。大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒而煩惱，就稱那地方為毗列斯·烏撒，沿用至今。

摩西沒有把供物分給哥轄的子孫，因為他們要用肩扛所負責的聖物。

大衛說：「除了利未人以外，誰也不可抬上帝的約櫃，因為耶和華只揀選他們抬上帝的約櫃，永遠事奉祂。」

摩西把這律法寫好，交給抬耶和華約櫃的利未祭司和以色列的眾長老。

自掩其罪，必不亨通；痛改前非，必蒙憐憫。

他們把上帝的約櫃從亞比拿達家抬出來，放在一輛新車上，由烏撒和亞希約趕車。大衛和以色列眾人就在上帝面前用琴、瑟、鼓、鈸和號奏樂，盡情歌舞。他們來到基頓麥場的時候，拉車的牛失蹄，烏撒就伸手去扶約櫃。因他伸手碰了約櫃，上帝便向他發怒，擊殺了他，他就死在上帝面前。大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒而煩惱，就稱那地方為毗列斯·烏撒，沿用至今。

「拔營出發時，哥轄的子孫要等到亞倫父子們把聖所和聖所的器具都蓋好後，才可以來抬。他們負責抬這些會幕的器具，但不可觸摸這些聖物，免得死亡。

因為會眾中間有許多人沒有潔淨自己，利未人就為所有不潔之人宰逾越節的羊羔獻給耶和華。有許多以法蓮人、瑪拿西人、以薩迦人和西布倫人沒有潔淨自己就吃了逾越節的羊羔，違背了律法的規定。希西迦就為他們禱告說：「凡誠心尋求他祖先的上帝耶和華的人，雖然沒有照聖所的律例潔淨自己，願良善的耶和華赦免他！」
