As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move out to battle, because that will mean God has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”

Listen for the sound of marching in the tops of the trees. Then move out to fight. The sound will mean that I have gone out in front of you. I will strike down the Philistine army.”

And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.”

When you hear a sound like marching feet in the tops of the poplar trees, go out and attack! That will be the signal that God is moving ahead of you to strike down the Philistine army.”

山間有多人的聲音，好像是大國人民。有許多國的民聚集鬨嚷的聲音；這是萬軍之耶和華點齊軍隊，預備打仗。

忽然，從天上有響聲下來，好像一陣大風吹過，充滿了他們所坐的屋子，

這樣看來，我親愛的弟兄，你們既是常順服的，不但我在你們那裏，就是我如今不在你們那裏，更是順服的，就當恐懼戰兢做成你們得救的工夫。因為你們立志行事都是神在你們心裏運行，為要成就他的美意。

當那夜，耶和華吩咐基甸說：「起來，下到米甸營裏去，因我已將他們交在你手中。

底波拉對巴拉說：「你起來，今日就是耶和華將西西拉交在你手的日子。耶和華豈不在你前頭行嗎？」於是巴拉下了他泊山，跟隨他有一萬人。

我必驚動他的心，他要聽見風聲就歸回本地。我必使他在那裏倒在刀下。』」

他們若對我們說：『你們站住，等我們到你們那裏去』，我們就站住，不上他們那裏去。他們若說：『你們上到我們這裏來』，這話就是我們的證據；我們便上去，因為耶和華將他們交在我們手裏了。」二人就使非利士的防兵看見。非利士人說：「希伯來人從所藏的洞穴裏出來了！」防兵對約拿單和拿兵器的人說：「你們上到這裏來，我們有一件事指示你們。」約拿單就對拿兵器的人說：「你跟隨我上去，因為耶和華將他們交在以色列人手裏了。」約拿單就爬上去，拿兵器的人跟隨他。約拿單殺倒非利士人，拿兵器的人也隨着殺他們。約拿單和拿兵器的人起頭所殺的約有二十人，都在一畝地的半犂溝之內。於是在營中、在田野、在眾民內都有戰兢，防兵和掠兵也都戰兢，地也震動，戰兢之勢甚大。在便雅憫的基比亞，掃羅的守望兵看見非利士的軍眾潰散，四圍亂竄。掃羅就對跟隨他的民說：「你們查點查點，看從我們這裏出去的是誰？」他們一查點，就知道約拿單和拿兵器的人沒有在這裏。那時神的約櫃在以色列人那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：「你將神的約櫃運了來。」掃羅正與祭司說話的時候，非利士營中的喧嚷越發大了；掃羅就對祭司說：「停手吧！」掃羅和跟隨他的人都聚集，來到戰場，看見非利士人用刀互相擊殺，大大惶亂。從前由四方來跟隨非利士軍的希伯來人現在也轉過來，幫助跟隨掃羅和約拿單的以色列人了。那藏在以法蓮山地的以色列人聽說非利士人逃跑，就出來緊緊地追殺他們。

至於你們剩下的人，我要使他們在仇敵之地心驚膽怯。葉子被風吹的響聲，要追趕他們；他們要逃避，像人逃避刀劍，無人追趕，卻要跌倒。

我－耶和華所膏的塞魯士；我攙扶他的右手，使列國降伏在他面前。我也要放鬆列王的腰帶，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉。我對他如此說：我必在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。

基甸聽見這夢和夢的講解，就敬拜神，回到以色列營中，說：「起來吧！耶和華已將米甸的軍隊交在你們手中了。」

雅各家啊，我必要聚集你們，必要招聚以色列剩下的人，安置在一處，如波斯拉的羊，又如草場上的羊羣；因為人數眾多就必大大喧嘩。開路的在他們前面上去；他們直闖過城門，從城門出去。他們的王在前面行；耶和華引導他們。

因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見車馬的聲音，是大軍的聲音；他們就彼此說：「這必是以色列王賄買赫人的諸王和埃及人的諸王來攻擊我們。」
