大衛率領以色列眾人上到巴拉，就是屬猶大的基列‧耶琳，要將耶和華神的約櫃從那裏接上來，他坐在二基路伯之上，這約櫃是以他的名來命名的。

所羅門統治諸國，從大河到非利士地，直到埃及的邊界。所羅門在世的日子，這些國都向他進貢，服事他。

是從埃及東邊的西曷河往北，直到以革倫的邊界，算是屬迦南人的地，那裏有非利士人五個領袖統治迦薩人、亞實突人、亞實基倫人、迦特人、以革倫人；還有屬於亞衛人的，在南邊；還有迦南人的全地，以及西頓人的米亞拉到亞弗，直到亞摩利人的邊界；還有迦巴勒人的地，以及向日出方向的黎巴嫩全地，從黑門山下的巴力‧迦得，直到哈馬口；從黎巴嫩直到米斯利弗‧瑪音，一切山區的居民，就是所有的西頓人，我必在以色列人面前趕走他們。你只管照我所吩咐的，抽籤將這地分給以色列人為業。
