The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

Then the Lord became very angry with Uzzah. The Lord struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So Uzzah died there in front of God.

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark, and he died there before God.

Then the Lord’s anger was aroused against Uzzah, and he struck him dead because he had laid his hand on the Ark. So Uzzah died there in the presence of God.

因為你們上一次沒有抬這約櫃，並且我們沒有按規矩求問耶和華－我們的神，所以他衝出來攻擊我們。」

利未子孫用槓，把神的約櫃抬在肩上，正如摩西按照耶和華的話所吩咐的。

烏西雅既強盛，就心高氣傲，以致敗壞。他干犯耶和華－他的神，進耶和華的殿，要在香壇上燒香。亞撒利雅祭司率領八十名勇敢的耶和華的祭司，跟隨他進去。他們阻止烏西雅王，對他說：「烏西雅啊，給耶和華燒香不是你的事，而是亞倫子孫的事，他們是分別為聖來燒香的祭司。你出聖殿吧！因為你犯了罪，耶和華神必不使你得尊榮。」烏西雅發怒，手拿香爐要燒香。他在耶和華殿中香壇旁向眾祭司發怒的時候，他的額頭在眾祭司面前忽然長出痲瘋。亞撒利雅祭司長和眾祭司轉向他，看哪，他的額頭長出痲瘋，就催他離開那裏；他自己也急速出去，因為耶和華降災於他。

因此，在你們中間有好些軟弱的與患病的，長眠了的也不少。我們若是先省察自己，就不至於受審判。我們受審判的時候，就是被主管教，這樣就免得和世人一同被定罪。

有火從耶和華那裏出來，吞滅了那上香的二百五十人。

嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，對他們說：「你們抬起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角在耶和華的約櫃前。」

亞倫的兒子拿答和亞比戶各拿着自己的香爐，把火放在爐裏，加上香，在耶和華面前獻上凡火，是耶和華沒有吩咐他們的。有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們吞滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。於是，摩西對亞倫說：「這就是耶和華所吩咐的，說：『我在那親近我的人中要顯為聖；在全體百姓面前，我要得着榮耀。』」亞倫就默默不言。

耶和華擊殺伯‧示麥人，因為他們觀看他的約櫃。他擊殺了百姓七十人。百姓因耶和華大大擊殺他們，就哀哭了。
