From the Gadites there went over to David at the stronghold in the wilderness mighty and experienced warriors, expert with shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions and who were swift as gazelles upon the mountains:

當時洗魯雅的三個兒子、約押、亞比篩、亞撒黑、也在那裏；亞撒黑的腿輕快、如同田野的瞪羚羊一般。

這時就使有英勇的人、膽大如獅心，也一定會溶化的；因為以色列眾人都知道你父親是個英雄，而跟從他的也都是英勇的人。

馬匹上去吧！車輛狂奔吧！勇士出陣哦！手揮盾牌的古實人和弗人哪！拉弓的路德族啊！

便雅憫人和猶大人之中也有到山寨來歸大衛的。

『掃羅和約拿單、眾人所愛、又令人喜悅的、或活或死都不分離；他們比鷹更神速，比獅子還強壯。

大衛從那裏上去，住在隱基底的山寨裏。

惡人雖沒有人追趕，也逃跑；義人卻坦然無懼、像少壯獅子。

亞瑪謝招集了猶大人、按着他們父系的家屬為猶大和便雅憫眾人設立了千夫長百夫長，又點閱他們、從二十歲和以上的、能出去打仗、能拿槍或大盾牌的、有三十萬精兵。

耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅、是甲薛有力氣的人，曾行過大有作為的事；他擊殺了摩押兩隻小獅；又在下雪的日子下到坑中去擊殺一隻獅子。

要解救你自己，如瞪羚羊脫離打獵的人，如鳥兒脫離捕鳥人的手。

那時大衛在那山寨；非利士人的駐防營當時在伯利恆。

我的愛人哪，快來吧！巴不得你像瞪羚羊或小鹿仔在香草山上哦！

大衛住在曠野山寨裏；他住在西弗曠野的山地。掃羅天天尋索大衛，上帝卻不將大衛交在他手裏。

於是大衛向掃羅起誓。掃羅回家去；大衛和跟隨的人也上山寨去了。

耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅是甲薛有力氣的人，曾行過大有作為的事；他擊殺了摩押兩隻小獅子；又在下雪的日子下到坑中去擊殺一隻獅子。
