迦得族亦有人歸大衛、至曠野之保障、俱為勇士、嫻習戰事、能執干戈、其貌如獅、足捷如山中之鹿、

伽得人歸大闢、在曠野險要之地、皆英武之士、能臨陣、執干戈、貌勇如獅、足疾若鹿、

Some Gadites defected to David at his stronghold in the wilderness. They were brave warriors, ready for battle and able to handle the shield and spear. Their faces were the faces of lions, and they were as swift as gazelles in the mountains.

Some men of Gad went over to David’s side at his usual place of safety in the desert. They were brave fighting men. They were ready for battle. They were able to use shields and spears. Their faces were like the faces of lions. They could run as fast as antelopes in the mountains.

From the Gadites there went over to David at the stronghold in the wilderness mighty and experienced warriors, expert with shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions and who were swift as gazelles upon the mountains:

Some brave and experienced warriors from the tribe of Gad also defected to David while he was at the stronghold in the wilderness. They were expert with both shield and spear, as fierce as lions and as swift as deer on the mountains.

洗魯雅的三個兒子約押、亞比篩和亞撒黑都在那裡。亞撒黑的腿輕快如野地的羚羊一般。

那時，縱使有人像獅子一般勇敢，心裡也必驚慌，因為全以色列都知道你父親是個勇士，跟隨他的人都是英勇的人。

馬匹啊，上前吧！戰車啊，狂奔吧！勇士啊，就是緊握盾牌的古實人和弗人，以及拉弓的呂底亞人哪，上陣吧！

便雅憫支派和猶大支派中也有人來到山寨投奔大衛。

掃羅和約拿單，生時相親相愛，死時也不分離。他們比鷹還快速，比獅子更勇猛。

大衛從那裡上去，住在隱．基底的山寨裡。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為24:1）

惡人雖然沒有人追趕，仍然逃跑；義人卻像獅子，放膽無懼。

亞瑪謝召集了猶大人，按著他們的家族為全猶大和便雅憫人，設立千夫長和百夫長，又數點他們的數目，從二十歲起，能出去打仗，能拿槍持盾的精兵，共有三十萬。

甲薛人耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，是一個力氣很大的人，作過許多大事。他曾經擊殺了摩押人的兩個勇將；又在下雪的時候，下到坑裡去擊殺了一隻獅子。

要解救自己，像羚羊脫離獵人的手，像飛鳥脫離捕鳥人的手。

那時大衛在山寨中，非利士人的駐軍在伯利恆。

我的良人哪！願你快來，像羚羊或小鹿，在香草山上！

大衛住在曠野的山寨裡，又住在西弗曠野的山裡。掃羅天天尋索大衛，神卻不把大衛交在他手裡。

於是大衛向掃羅起誓，掃羅就回自己的家去了，大衛和跟隨他的人也上山寨去了。

耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，是甲薛族的勇士，曾有偉大的作為；他擊殺了摩押人亞利伊勒的兩個兒子，又在下雪的日子，下到坑中去擊殺了一隻獅子。
