以上所載、皆係戰士、能列行伍、誠心至希伯崙、欲立大衛為以色列全族之王、其餘以色列民、亦懷一心、立之為王、

皆係武士、能守行伍、忠乃心、至希伯崙、欲立大闢為王、治以色列族、斯土餘民、亦同此心、

皆戰士能守行伍、誠心誠意至希伯崙、欲立大衛為以色列眾人之王、以色列餘民、亦一心欲立大衛為王、

All these were fighting men who volunteered to serve in the ranks. They came to Hebron fully determined to make David king over all Israel. All the rest of the Israelites were also of one mind to make David king.

大衛出去迎接他們，回答他們說：「你們若和平地來幫助我，我的心就與你們契合；但你們若把我這雙手無辜的人賣給敵人，願我們列祖的神察看責罰。」那時軍官的領袖亞瑪撒受靈的感動說：「大衛啊，我們歸向你！耶西的兒子啊，我們幫助你！願你平平安安，願幫助你的也都平安！因為你的神幫助你。」大衛就收留他們，派他們作軍官。

你在聖山上掌權的日子，你的子民必甘心跟隨；從晨曦初現，你就有清晨的甘露。

西布倫中，能上陣用各樣作戰的兵器、不生二心幫助打仗的有五萬人。

以色列眾支派來到希伯崙見大衛，說：「看哪，我們是你的骨肉。從前掃羅作我們王的時候，率領以色列人出入的是你。耶和華也曾對你說：『你必牧養我的百姓以色列，你必作以色列的君王。』」於是以色列的眾長老都來到希伯崙見王。大衛在希伯崙，在耶和華面前與他們立約，他們就膏大衛作以色列的王。

猶大啊，你的兄弟必讚美你，你的手必掐住仇敵的頸項，你父親的兒子要向你下拜。猶大是隻小獅子；我兒啊，你捕獲了獵物就上去。他蹲伏，他躺臥，如公獅，又如母獅，誰敢惹他呢？權杖必不離猶大，統治者的杖必不離他兩腳之間，直等細羅來到，萬民都要歸順他。

「耶和華啊，求你記念我在你面前怎樣存完全的心，按誠實行事，又做你眼中看為善的事。」希西家就痛哭。

我要使他們有合一的心，也要將新靈放在你們裏面，又從他們的肉體中除掉石心，賜給他們肉心，

所羅門年老的時候，他的妻妾誘惑他的心去隨從別神，不像他父親大衛以純正的心順服耶和華－他的神。

神也按手在猶大人身上，使他們一心遵行王與眾領袖照着耶和華的話所發的命令。
