David went out to meet them, and answered them,“ If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”

大卫出去迎见他们，对他们说：“你们若是存着和平的心到我这里来帮助我，我就与你们结盟，但你们若是把我这无辜的人出卖给我的敌人，就愿我们列祖的神鉴察和审判。”

大衛出去和他們見面，跟他們應對說：『你們若是和和平平地到我這裏來幫助我，我就和你們一心一意；但你們若將我這手無強暴的人騙在敵人手裏，那麼願我們列祖的上帝察看而斷定是非。』

大衛出迓曰、爾若平和而來以助我、則我心與爾相契、我既無辜、爾若鬻我於敵、願我列祖之上帝鑒察之、譴責之、

大闢出迓、告曰、如爾心懷平康、欲來助我、則我與爾和好。如欲欺我、付無辜於敵手、則望列祖之上帝、加以督責。

大衛出迎、謂之曰、爾來意若平善、欲助我、則我願與爾結盟、如欲欺我、將我無辜者付於敵手、願我列祖之天主、鑒察加責、

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come to me in peace to help me, I am ready for you to join me. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free from violence, may the God of our ancestors see it and judge you.”

David went out to meet them. He said to them,“ Have you come to me in peace? Have you come to help me? If you have, I’m ready for you to join me. But suppose you have come to hand me over to my enemies when I haven’t even harmed anyone. Then may the God of our people see it and judge you.”

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come to me in friendship to help me, my heart will be joined to you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, although there is no wrong in my hands, then may the God of our fathers see and rebuke you.”

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you have come in peace to help me, we are friends. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when I am innocent, then may the God of our ancestors see it and punish you.”

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come in peace to help me, my heart will be united with you, but if you have come to betray me to my enemies even though my hands have done no wrong, may the God of our ancestors look on it and judge.”

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them,“ If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment.”

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you; but if ye be come to betray me to mine adversaries, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come in peace to help me, my heart will be united with you, but if you have come to betray me to my enemies even though my hands have done no wrong, may the God of our ancestors look on it and judge.”

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if[ ye be come] to betray me to mine enemies, seeing[ there is] no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look[ thereon], and rebuke[ it].

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you come to me in peace and want to help me, then I will make an alliance with you. But if you come to betray me to my enemies when I have not harmed you, may the God of our ancestors take notice and judge!”

Arise, Yahweh, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries. Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.

So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. David made Abner and the men who were with him a feast.Abner said to David,“ I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your soul desires.” David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.Behold, David’s servants and Joab came from a raid, and brought in a great plunder with them; but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.When Joab and all the army who was with him had come, they told Joab,“ Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he has gone in peace.”Then Joab came to the king, and said,“ What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why is it that you have sent him away, and he is already gone?You know Abner the son of Ner. He came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.”

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him,“ Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered,“ It is.”“ If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

Yahweh will render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; because Yahweh delivered you into my hand today, and I wouldn’t stretch out my hand against Yahweh’s anointed.Behold, as your life was respected today in my eyes, so let my life be respected in Yahweh’s eyes, and let him deliver me out of all oppression.”

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.” Then Jacob swore by the fear of his father, Isaac.

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Teach me your way, Yahweh. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.

When Joram saw Jehu, he said,“ Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered,“ What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?”

Moreover, my father, behold, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and didn’t kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor disobedience in my hand, and I have not sinned against you, though you hunt for my life to take it.May Yahweh judge between me and you, and may Yahweh avenge me of you; but my hand will not be on you.As the proverb of the ancients says,‘ Out of the wicked comes wickedness;’ but my hand will not be on you.Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A flea?May Yahweh therefore be judge, and give sentence between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.”It came to pass, when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, that Saul said,“ Is that your voice, my son David?” Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.He said to David,“ You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.

I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and the good of their children after them.

Samuel did that which Yahweh spoke, and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city came to meet him trembling, and said,“ Do you come peaceably?”

But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said,“ May the Lord rebuke you!”

Help, Yahweh; for the godly man ceases. For the faithful fail from among the children of men.Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart.

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. She said,“ Do you come peaceably?” He said,“ Peaceably.

Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.

Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.”

When he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”

Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
