David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come to me in peace to help me, I am ready for you to join me. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free from violence, may the God of our ancestors see it and judge you.”

大衛出去和他們見面，跟他們應對說：『你們若是和和平平地到我這裏來幫助我，我就和你們一心一意；但你們若將我這手無強暴的人騙在敵人手裏，那麼願我們列祖的上帝察看而斷定是非。』

大衛出迓曰、爾若平和而來以助我、則我心與爾相契、我既無辜、爾若鬻我於敵、願我列祖之上帝鑒察之、譴責之、

大闢出迓、告曰、如爾心懷平康、欲來助我、則我與爾和好。如欲欺我、付無辜於敵手、則望列祖之上帝、加以督責。

大衛出迎、謂之曰、爾來意若平善、欲助我、則我願與爾結盟、如欲欺我、將我無辜者付於敵手、願我列祖之天主、鑒察加責、

David went out to meet them. He said to them,“ Have you come to me in peace? Have you come to help me? If you have, I’m ready for you to join me. But suppose you have come to hand me over to my enemies when I haven’t even harmed anyone. Then may the God of our people see it and judge you.”

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come to me in friendship to help me, my heart will be joined to you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, although there is no wrong in my hands, then may the God of our fathers see and rebuke you.”

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you; but if ye be come to betray me to mine adversaries, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if[ ye be come] to betray me to mine enemies, seeing[ there is] no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look[ thereon], and rebuke[ it].

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you come to me in peace and want to help me, then I will make an alliance with you. But if you come to betray me to my enemies when I have not harmed you, may the God of our ancestors take notice and judge!”

David went out to meet them, and answered them,“ If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”

Arise, Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.

When Abner, who had twenty men with him, came to David at Hebron, David prepared a feast for him and his men.Then Abner said to David,“ Let me go at once and assemble all Israel for my lord the king, so that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may rule over all that your heart desires.” So David sent Abner away, and he went in peace.Just then David’s men and Joab returned from a raid and brought with them a great deal of plunder. But Abner was no longer with David in Hebron, because David had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.When Joab and all the soldiers with him arrived, he was told that Abner son of Ner had come to the king and that the king had sent him away and that he had gone in peace.So Joab went to the king and said,“ What have you done? Look, Abner came to you. Why did you let him go? Now he is gone!You know Abner son of Ner; he came to deceive you and observe your movements and find out everything you are doing.”

After he left there, he came upon Jehonadab son of Rekab, who was on his way to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said,“ Are you in accord with me, as I am with you?”“ I am,” Jehonadab answered.“ If so,” said Jehu,“ give me your hand.” So he did, and Jehu helped him up into the chariot.

The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed.As surely as I valued your life today, so may the Lord value my life and deliver me from all trouble.”

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel

May the God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.” So Jacob took an oath in the name of the Fear of his father Isaac.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,“ Have you come in peace, Jehu?”“ How can there be peace,” Jehu replied,“ as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?”

See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. Who are you pursuing? A dead dog? A flea?May the Lord be our judge and decide between us. May he consider my cause and uphold it; may he vindicate me by delivering me from your hand.”When David finished saying this, Saul asked,“ Is that your voice, David my son?” And he wept aloud.“ You are more righteous than I,” he said.“ You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly.

I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.

Samuel did what the Lord said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked,“ Do you come in peace?”

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.

Now Adonijah, the son of Haggith, went to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother. Bathsheba asked him,“ Do you come peacefully?” He answered,“ Yes, peacefully.”

And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you.”

After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

The Lord said to Satan,“ The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
