大衛出迓曰、爾若平和而來以助我、則我心與爾相契、我既無辜、爾若鬻我於敵、願我列祖之上帝鑒察之、譴責之、

大闢出迓、告曰、如爾心懷平康、欲來助我、則我與爾和好。如欲欺我、付無辜於敵手、則望列祖之上帝、加以督責。

大衛出迎、謂之曰、爾來意若平善、欲助我、則我願與爾結盟、如欲欺我、將我無辜者付於敵手、願我列祖之天主、鑒察加責、

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come to me in peace to help me, I am ready for you to join me. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free from violence, may the God of our ancestors see it and judge you.”

David went out to meet them. He said to them,“ Have you come to me in peace? Have you come to help me? If you have, I’m ready for you to join me. But suppose you have come to hand me over to my enemies when I haven’t even harmed anyone. Then may the God of our people see it and judge you.”

David went out to meet them and said to them,“ If you have come to me in friendship to help me, my heart will be joined to you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, although there is no wrong in my hands, then may the God of our fathers see and rebuke you.”

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you have come in peace to help me, we are friends. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when I am innocent, then may the God of our ancestors see it and punish you.”

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them,“ If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment.”

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you; but if ye be come to betray me to mine adversaries, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you come to me in peace and want to help me, then I will make an alliance with you. But if you come to betray me to my enemies when I have not harmed you, may the God of our ancestors take notice and judge!”

David went out to meet them, and answered them,“ If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”

Rise up, LORD, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my adversaries; awake for me; you have ordained a judgment.

When Abner and twenty men came to David at Hebron, David held a banquet for him and his men.Abner said to David,“ Let me now go and I will gather all Israel to my lord the king. They will make a covenant with you, and you will reign over all you desire.” So David dismissed Abner, and he went in peace.Just then David’s soldiers and Joab returned from a raid and brought a large amount of plundered goods with them. Abner was not with David in Hebron because David had dismissed him, and he had gone in peace.When Joab and his whole army arrived, Joab was informed,“ Abner son of Ner came to see the king, the king dismissed him, and he went in peace.”Joab went to the king and said,“ What have you done? Look here, Abner came to you. Why did you dismiss him? Now he’s getting away.You know that Abner son of Ner came to deceive you and to find out about your military activities and everything you’re doing.”

When he left there, he found Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him and then asked,“ Is your heart one with mine?”“ It is,” Jehonadab replied. Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot with him.

The LORD will repay every man for his righteousness and his loyalty. I wasn’t willing to lift my hand against the LORD’s anointed, even though the LORD handed you over to me today.Just as I considered your life valuable today, so may the LORD consider my life valuable and rescue me from all trouble.”

Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel,

The God of Abraham, and the gods of Nahor— the gods of their father— will judge between us.” And Jacob swore by the Fear of his father Isaac.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.

Teach me your way, LORD, and I will live by your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear your name.

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,“ Do you come in peace, Jehu?” He answered,“ What peace can there be as long as there is so much prostitution and sorcery from your mother Jezebel?”

Look, my father! Look at the corner of your robe in my hand, for I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you. Recognize that I’ve committed no crime or rebellion. May he take notice and plead my case and deliver me from you.”When David finished saying these things to him, Saul replied,“ Is that your voice, David my son?” Then Saul wept aloudand said to David,“ You are more righteous than I, for you have done what is good to me though I have done what is evil to you.

I will give them integrity of heart and action so that they will fear me always, for their good and for the good of their descendants after them.

Samuel did what the LORD directed and went to Bethlehem. When the elders of the town met him, they trembled and asked,“ Do you come in peace?”

Yet when Michael the archangel was disputing with the devil in an argument about Moses’s body, he did not dare utter a slanderous condemnation against him but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

Help, LORD, for no faithful one remains; the loyal have disappeared from the human race.They lie to one another; they speak with flattering lips and deceptive hearts.

Now Adonijah son of Haggith came to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother. She asked,“ Do you come peacefully?”“ Peacefully,” he replied,

Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as much as himself.

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham, the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, certainly now you would have sent me off empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my hard work, and he issued his verdict last night.”

When David had finished speaking with Saul, Jonathan was bound to David in close friendship, and loved him as much as he loved himself.

Now the entire group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but instead they held everything in common.

when he was insulted, he did not insult in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten but entrusted himself to the one who judges justly.

The LORD said to Satan,“ The LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice. Become mature, be encouraged, be of the same mind, be at peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
