And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord Almighty was with him.

David became more and more powerful. That’s because the Lord who rules over all was with him.

And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord of Heaven’s Armies was with him.

David steadily grew more powerful, and the LORD of Armies was with him.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
