但撒督祭司、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，拿單先知、示每、利以和大衛的勇士都不擁護亞多尼雅。

掃羅和約拿單，生時相親相愛，死時也不分離。他們比鷹還快速，比獅子更勇猛。

比拿雅來到耶和華的帳幕那裡，對約押說：“王這樣吩咐說：‘你出來！’”約押說：“我不出去！我要死在這裡。”於是比拿雅回覆王說：“約押這樣說，他這樣回答我。”

約押作以色列所有軍隊的統帥。耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅統轄基利提人和比利提人；

於是撒督祭司、拿單先知和耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，以及基利提人和比利提人都下去，使所羅門騎上大衛王的騾子，送他到基訓去。

參孫跟他的父母下到亭拿去，到了亭拿的葡萄園；忽然見一隻少壯獅子向他吼叫。耶和華的靈大大感動參孫，他雖然手裡沒有武器，竟把獅子撕裂，像人撕裂山羊羔一樣；他沒有把他所作的這事告訴他的父母。
