And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that[ is] at the gate!

大衛歆羨曰、深願有人由伯利恆門側之井、汲水以飲我、

大闢不勝欣羨、曰、伯利恆邑門之側、有井焉、甚欲汲其水以飲。

大衛曰、伯利恆城門側之井、我慕其水、誰願往汲、予我飲之、

David longed for water and said,“ Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!”

David really wanted some water. He said,“ I wish someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!”

And David said longingly,“ Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!”

David remarked longingly to his men,“ Oh, how I would love some of that good water from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.”

David was extremely thirsty and said,“ If only someone would bring me water to drink from the well at the city gate of Bethlehem!”

And David had a craving and said,“ Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

And David said with longing,“ Oh, that someone would give me a drink of water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth- lehem, which is by the gate!

David was extremely thirsty and said,“ If only someone would bring me water to drink from the well at the city gate of Bethlehem!”

David was thirsty and said,“ How I wish someone would give me some water to drink from the cistern in Bethlehem near the city gate!”

David longed, and said,“ Oh that one would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which[ is] by the gate!And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that[ was] by the gate, and took[ it], and brought[ it] to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul[ thirsteth] after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

And the mixt multitude that[ was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

O God, thou[ art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
