Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

扫罗对替他拿兵器的人说：“拔出你的刀来，把我刺透，免得这些未受割礼的人来凌辱我。”但替他拿兵器的人不肯这样作，因为他非常害怕；于是扫罗拿出刀来，自己伏在刀上死了。

就對拿軍器的護兵說：『拔出刀來，將我刺透，免得這些沒有受割禮的人來作弄我。』拿軍器的護兵因為非常懼怕，不情願刺他；掃羅就拿刀，自己伏上。

謂執兵者曰、爾其拔劍刺我、免未受割者至而侮我、執兵者懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅遂伏劍而死、

謂持兵之士曰、汝其拔刃刺我、恐未受割者至、加以狎侮。持兵之士懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅觸刃而死。

謂執其兵器者曰、爾可拔刀刺我、恐未受割禮者、凌辱我、執其兵器者懼甚、不敢奉命、

Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and abuse me.” But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Saul spoke to the man who was carrying his armor. He said,“ Pull out your sword and stick it through me. If you don’t, these men who aren’t circumcised will come and hurt me badly.” But the man was terrified. He wouldn’t do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, for he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword and fell upon it.

Saul groaned to his armor bearer,“ Take your sword and kill me before these pagan Philistines come to taunt and torture me.” But his armor bearer was afraid and would not do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and torture me.” But his armor-bearer would not do it because he was terrified. Then Saul took his sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword and thrust me through with it, otherwise these uncircumcised Philistines will come and abuse me.” But his armor bearer would not, for he was very afraid. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armorbearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.

And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled[ his] ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.

And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for[ there is] no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.

Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.

And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died,

And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

Then he called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died.

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What[ is that] to us? see thou[ to that].And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life[ is] yet whole in me.So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that[ was] upon his head, and the bracelet that[ was] on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who[ is] this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

Tell[ it] not in Gath, publish[ it] not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’S anointed?And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near,[ and] fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.And David said unto him, Thy blood[ be] upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD’S anointed.
