Song of Solomon 第3章
The Bride’s Dream
I sought 3:1 ch. 1:7him whom my soul loves;
2I will rise now and go about the city,
in 3:2 Jer. 5:1the streets and in the squares;
I will seek 3:2 [See ver. 1above]him whom my soul loves.
I sought him, but found him not.
as they went about in the city.
“Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”
4Scarcely had I passed them
when I found 3:4 [See ver. 1above] him whom my soul loves.
I 3:4 [Job 27:6] held him, and would not let him go
until I had 3:4 ch. 8:2brought him into my mother’s house,
and into the chamber of 3:4 [Hos. 2:5]her who conceived me.
3:5 See ch. 2:9by the gazelles or the does of the field,
that you not stir up or awaken love
until it pleases.
Solomon Arrives for the Wedding
perfumed with 3:6 ch. 4:6, 14; Matt. 2:11; John 19:39myrrh and frankincense,
with all the fragrant powders of a merchant?
7Behold, it is the litter3:7 That is, the couch on which servants carry a king of Solomon!
Around it are 3:7 ch. 6:8sixty 3:7 2 Sam. 23:8; 1 Chr. 11:10mighty men,
some of the mighty men of Israel,
8all of them wearing swords
and expert in war,
each with his 3:8 Ps. 45:3sword at his thigh,
against 3:8 Ps. 91:5terror by night.
9King Solomon made himself a carriage3:9 Or sedan chair
from the wood of Lebanon.
10He made its posts of silver,
its back of gold, its seat of purple;
its interior was inlaid with love

and look upon King Solomon,
with the crown with which his mother crowned him
on 3:11 [Isa. 62:5]the day of his wedding,
on the day of the gladness of his heart.
