1Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,

you who lead 80:1 Ps. 78:67; 81:5Joseph like 80:1 [Ps. 95:7]; See Ps. 77:20a flock.

You who are 80:1 Ps. 99:1; Ex. 25:22; 1 Sam. 4:4; 2 Sam. 6:2enthroned upon the cherubim, 80:1 See Ps. 50:2shine forth.

12Why then have you 80:12 Ps. 89:40; Isa. 5:5broken down its walls,

so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit?

and all that move in the field feed on it.

14Turn again, O God of hosts!

have regard for this vine,

15the stock that your right hand planted,

and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.

16They have 80:16 Isa. 33:12burned it with fire; they have 80:16 Isa. 33:12cut it down;

may they perish at 80:16 Ps. 76:6; [Ps. 39:11]the rebuke of your face!

17But 80:17 Ps. 89:21let your hand be on the man of your right hand,

the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself!

18Then we shall not turn back from you;
