Why Have You Forsaken Me?

Why are you so 22:1 ver. 11far from saving me, from the words of my 22:1 Ps. 32:3; 38:8; Job 3:24; Isa. 59:11; [Heb. 5:7]groaning?

2O my God, I cry by 22:2 Ps. 88:1day, but you do not answer,

and by night, but I find no rest.

3Yet you are 22:3 Lev. 19:2holy,

4In you our fathers trusted;

they trusted, and you delivered them.

6But I am 22:6 Job 25:6; Isa. 41:14a worm and not a man,

9Yet you are he who 22:9 Ps. 71:6took me from the womb;

you made me trust you at my mother’s breasts.

10On you was I cast from my birth,

for trouble is near,

12Many bulls encompass me;

like a ravening and roaring lion.

shall worship before you.

and he rules over the nations.

30Posterity shall serve him;

that he has done it.
