A Song of 125:0 [See Ps. 120, title]Ascents.

1Those who 125:1 Ps. 25:2, 3trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,

which 125:1 Ps. 93:1; 104:5; [Prov. 10:30]cannot be moved, but abides forever.

2As the mountains surround Jerusalem,

so 125:2 [2 Kgs. 6:17; Zech. 2:5]the Lord surrounds his people,

from this time forth and forevermore.

3For 125:3 Isa. 14:5the scepter of wickedness shall not 125:3 Isa. 30:30rest

on 125:3 See Ps. 16:5the land allotted to the righteous,

lest the righteous 125:3 Gen. 3:22; Ex. 22:8stretch out

their hands to do wrong.

4125:4 Ps. 119:68Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,

and to those who are 125:4 See Ps. 7:10upright in their hearts!

5But those who 125:5 See Ps. 40:4turn aside to their 125:5 Prov. 2:15crooked ways

the Lord will lead away with 125:5 Ps. 92:7, 9; 94:4evildoers!
