Luke 第13章
Repent or Perish
1There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood 13:1 ch. 3:1Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2And he answered them, 13:2 [Job 4:7; John 9:2; Acts 28:4]“Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way?
The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree
6And he told this parable: “A man had 13:6 Matt. 21:19; Mark 11:13; [Isa. 5:2]a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none.
7And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. 13:7 ch. 3:9; Matt. 7:19Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’
8And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure.
9Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”
A Woman with a Disabling Spirit
10Now 13:10 See Matt. 4:23; Mark 6:2he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.
11And behold, there was a woman who had had 13:11 Acts 16:16; [ver. 16]a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself.
12When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.”
13And he 13:13 See Mark 5:23laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she 13:13 ch. 5:25; 18:43; See ch. 7:16glorified God.
14But 13:14 See ch. 8:41the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus 13:14 See Matt. 12:2had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, 13:14 Ex. 20:9; Ezek. 46:1“There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”
15Then the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! 13:15 ch. 14:5; [Matt. 12:11]Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water it?
16And ought not this woman, 13:16 ch. 19:9a daughter of Abraham whom 13:16 [ver. 11; Acts 10:38; 1 Cor. 5:5; 2 Cor. 12:7]; See 1 Chr. 21:1Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?”
17As he said these things, 13:17 Ps. 132:18; 1 Pet. 3:16all his adversaries were put to shame, and 13:17 ch. 18:43all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by him.
The Mustard Seed and the Leaven
1813:18 For ver. 18, 19, see Matt. 13:31, 32; Mark 4:30-32He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?
19It is like 13:19 ch. 17:6; Matt. 17:20a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.”
20And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?
2113:21 Matt. 13:33It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in 13:21 Gen. 18:6three measures of flour, until it was 13:21 1 Cor. 5:6; Gal. 5:9all leavened.”
The Narrow Door

29And 13:29 [See ver. 28above] people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and 13:29 [ch. 14:15; 22:30]recline at table in the kingdom of God.
30And behold, 13:30 See Matt. 19:30some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”
Lament over Jerusalem
31At that very hour some Pharisees came and said to him, “Get away from 13:31 [Matt. 19:1; Mark 10:1] here, for 13:31 See ch. 3:1Herod wants to kill you.”
32And he said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day 13:32 [See Heb. 2:10; 5:9; 7:28]I finish my course.
33Nevertheless, 13:33 [John 11:9] I 13:33 Acts 3:21; 17:3must go on my way today and tomorrow and the day following, for it cannot be that 13:33 See Matt. 21:11a prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.’

35Behold, 13:35 [Isa. 64:11; Jer. 12:7; 22:5] your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, 13:35 ch. 19:38; Cited from Ps. 118:26‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
